LCD and Plasma Screens

LCD screens are used for the vast majority of digital signage applications. They are less likely to burn-in an image and have a longer lifetime, especially with images that are more static and stay on the screen longer (menus, wayfinding, news crawls, etc). In addition, they can be used in better lit areas than Plasma.

However, where vibrant colors and/or full motion video are important, Plasma is usually the technology of choice.
